parents visit

my parents are coming to visit over the memorial day weekend, which i've been planning for several weeks now. i'm very excited that they are coming to visit and also because it's been a long time since they have taken a vacation outside the state of california! they said there are few things that they must see and do. which are: statue of liberty, empire state building and the niagara falls. NIAGARA FALLS?!!?! i told them it's about 8 hours by car, which they can't afford to do because they are only in new york for about 2.5 days! after a brief discussion between me, myself and i, i decided that it's worth their happiness for me to fly there and back. so i did. i booked their trip over 2 months ago and i'm really excited that they are finally coming out next week! now, i'm debating if i should get the day pass for $65 or try to get the tix individually. with the 1-day new york pass we can go to empire state building, statue of liberty, many many museums that they're probably not interested in (they're not the museum going types), nbc studio tour, united nations tour and etc! there's no way we could do all of these in one day, and hitting 3 spots might be pushing it but it might be worth it. since d is coming back out again next weekend, it'll be a double date weekend. yay!
